Have you ever felt so wronged that you wanted to plot an elaborate revenge to get the person back? You felt like they just took your heart and shattered it? Or someone spread rumors about you and it hurt you among family and friends? Or someone wronged you at work and it cost you a promotion or a position?
We’ve all been there. We’ve all felt that anger, hurt and betrayal. And we’ve all had the thought, “I just want to…!”
But don’t. Step back. Take a few deep breaths. Trying to get revenge will hurt you even more. Strong people move on with their head held high.
Seeking revenge for real or perceived wrongs puts you on the same level as the one who has hurt you. They will get theirs. Trust God on that. You may not see it right away, but it always, always comes back to them.
If you are good to people, it comes back to you. If you mistreat people, it comes back to you. Plain and simple.
