Easter Sunday Hugs-April 4, 2021

It is Resurrection Day! Hallelujah! Christ is Risen! Today is the day God’s plan comes full circle for us. After life, suffering, crucifixion and death, Jesus Christ has risen.

I pray that this Easter Sunday is very different from our Easter Sunday last year (2020). Because of “stay at home” orders, we celebrated this blessed day at home.

For the most part, we are able to celebrate where we want to celebrate. If we want to go to Church services, we are able to. And if we need to continue to stay home, we can do that too.

And last year, we weren’t able to be with family and friends. Again, it is different for most of us this year in that we are able to be with our family and friends to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Even if you don’t have family and friends with you, you are not alone. God is with you. He loves you and He will never leave you.

No matter what is going on in your life, take some time today and thank God for sending His son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross and be resurrected.

If you can’t go to Church, remember that the Church is in you. If the doors aren’t open, praise Him in the hallways. If you can’t get into the hallways, praise Him outside, in your car, or wherever works for you. This day is cause for celebration.

We have something very wonderful  to be happy about! Jesus is risen! He lives and because He lives, we need not fear tomorrow. We need not fear anything.

Just as His death was not fake, neither was His resurrection. He really rose into Heaven:

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come see the place where he lay”. ~Matthew 28:5-6.

The Chief Priests and the Pharisees had mocked Him. They had tortured, beaten and crucified Him. He had been laid in a tomb, a big rock rolled over the tomb and guards had been standing watch.

But, still He rose. And He went to prepare a place us. And He will come again. Never let anyone try to convince you that the “Easter story” is just a story and it didn’t really happen. It isn’t just a story. Jesus died on the cross, was buried and rose!

Do you know how I know? Because He lives in me! I’m living proof that Jesus exists. I wouldn’t be here without Him.

I’m sending you this Easter Sunday hug to bring joy to your heart on this Easter Sunday! It’s to let you know that you are loved and cared for. Never forget that. God loves you and will never leave you.

Sending you blessings of love and gratitude from Sterrett, Alabama!
