It’s Holy Wednesday, my friends! We’ve reached the middle of Holy Week. I am sending Holy Wednesday hugs your way. I pray you will receive one.

Holy Wednesday commemorates the day Judas made the decision to betray Jesus. Although Jesus knew that Judas would betray him, Jesus loved him until the end:

And Judas went to the chief priests and the officers of the temple guard and discussed with them how he might betray Jesus. ~Luke 22:4.

They were delighted and agreed to give him money. He consented, and watched for an opportunity to hand Jesus over to them when no crowd was present. ~Luke 22:5

It would be the next day before the actual betrayal would occur, but Judas still participated in The Last Supper. Jesus treated him no differently than the other Disciples.

With this hug, I pray you feel God’s unending love. With this hug, I’m saying, “Be encouraged, be calm, be safe and stay in God’s peace.”

I wanted to pray a short, simple prayer for your Holy Wednesday. Pray this prayer with me and believe that there is no greater force than God’s love.

Dear God, thank You for your unending love. We would be so lost without Your love. We know that You are still on the throne.

Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, to live with us, to suffer, to be crucified and to be resurrected so that we may live eternally.

As we remember and commemorate each day of Holy Week, we are at home, trying to protect ourselves and others from exposure to the Coronavirus.

Be with us in our homes, comfort us, place Your peace in our hearts and let us feel Your presence. Bless my family and friends and provide everything they need.

Take away our fears and renew our faith. Remove our racing thoughts and calm our minds. Remove the sadness from our hearts and replace it with Your joy.

Heal those who are infected with the Coronavirus, keep others from being infected and remove this virus from our lands, remove it from this world.

Remind us that better days are ahead. Remind us that You are with us. Help us to always trust in You and rely upon Your power to bring us out of the darkness into the light.

In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

If you get to a place today where you need a hug, imagine this big, caring hug that I am sending you! Holy Wednesday Hugs!

Sending you love, blessings and gratitude from Sterrett, Alabama!
