Smile, my friends! It’s Saturday and it’s Mother’s Day Weekend! Decide right now that today is going to be a wonderful, blessed day. Believe it.
This hug is to say, “Be encouraged. Keep the faith and keep hope in your heart. You are not alone. God is with you. He loves you and cares for you”.
You may feel like you don’t have a lot to be happy about when it comes to Mother’s Day. You may be saying, “I can’t even be with my mother. I can’t celebrate all that she is. I want to be with her and I can’t”.
I hear you. This Mother’s Day is unlike all others in our lifetime. Most of us are still staying at home and we aren’t able to be with our beloved Mothers.
The end of our lock down is near my friends. A lot of areas are opening back up on Monday. And yes, it’s after the official Mother’s Day date, but we can celebrate Mother’s Day next week or the week after.
I also wanted to pray a simple prayer and send it with this Mother’s Day Weekend Saturday hug. Please pray this prayer with me and receive the blessings sent with it:
Dear God, Thank You for bringing us through the week and to this beautiful Mother’s Day Weekend Saturday. We are so thankful You woke us up.
You’ve protected us, blessed us and given us the strength to keep going. You are so good, all the time. Thank You for making a way for us.
We pray for all the Mothers who have stood strong in times of trial, who kept our homes running, who cooked meals, washed clothes, and kissed away all the boo-boo’s.
We pray for mothers who have felt inadequate to teach school subjects in their home, but did it anyway.
For all the mothers who are separated from their families on Mother’s Day, please wrap them in Your loving arms and let them know they are not alone.
May we believe that our next Mother’s Day can be celebrated together. We trust that You are making our spaces safe again.
