Palm Sunday Hugs

Good Palm SundayMorning, my friends! This is a blessed day. It marks the beginning of the last week of Jesus Christ’s earthly ministry.

I’m sending out Palm Sunday Hugs to you! I pray that this hug brings a smile to your face and peace to your heart. And I pray that you reach out and get one of these hugs whenever you need it.

This Palm Sunday is very different from our past ones. Our Churches are closed and we are commemorating this blessed day within our stay at home orders.

We are going through trying times, my friends. Hard, scary times. We are so worried and concerned for our family and loved ones.

We have to remember that God is in control. He is still on the throne and He is still with us. He is going to continue to protect us, to comfort us and keep us virus-free.

Try to let go of your worries and remember what Palm Sunday is all about. Just think, if Christ had not entered Jerusalem, the last week of His life would have been different.

But that is where He was supposed to go, because this day would lead to His suffering, His death and His resurrection:

They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the king of Israel! ~John 12:13.

With this hug, I am praying a simple prayer that you feel peace and calm during your Palm Sunday: Dear God, We humbly ask that You bring peace and calm to our hearts on this blessed day, Palm Sunday.

Let Your peace replace our worries and fears. Help us to remember that You are with us, You are in control and You can heal Your people.

Bless us so that we may bless others and let us serve as Your light so that others may find their way in these dark times. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

With this hug, I pray that God blesses you and heals you. And whenever you need it, close your eyes and remember this Palm Sunday hug and this prayer.

Sending you blessings of love and gratitude from Sterrett, Alabama!
