Sunday Hugs

Good Morning and Happy Sunday, my friends! I pray that you have started your third Sunday of July with a smile on your face and peace in your heart.

No matter where you are worshiping today, if you can attend your Church, or if you are still staying home, believe that God is with you and He is going to bless your day.

We are still going through scary, difficult times. We are constantly hearing updates about the numbers who have become infected and the numbers who have passed away from Coronavirus.

We become even more scared, more worried, more anxious when we stop and listen to all the statistics about the virus.

And, there are still major US cities experiencing unrest. Even though you may not live in one of these cities, we still worry about them and pray that God heals the division in this Country.

Don’t let fear and worry grip you. If you are doing everything you can to stay safe, don’t let fear come into your heart. Just pray and trust that God is going to send His angels to protect you.

For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. ~Psalm 91:11.

God will cover you with His protection. He will give you calm in times of chaos and He will bring peace to your heart and home.

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High, will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” ~Psalm 91:1-2.

With this hug, I am praying a simple prayer for protection and calm: Dear God, We humbly ask that You provide a shield of protection over us all.

Keep us safe from the Coronavirus and any other virus that we may be exposed to. For those who have tested positive, give them Your strength and make their recovery fast.

Replace our worries with Your peace and remove our fears and anxieties. Help us to remember that You are with us, You are in control and You can heal Your people.

Lord, bring an end to this pandemic and make our world safe again.

Heal the chaos, division and unrest across our Country. May Your people treat others with Your love, compassion and kindness.

Bless us so that we may bless others and let us serve as Your light so that others may find their way in these dark times. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

With this hug, I pray that God blesses you and heals you. And whenever you need it, close your eyes and remember this hug and this prayer.

Sending you blessings of love and gratitude from Sterrett, Alabama!
