Thank God For The Doctors and Nurses

We are at war with the Coronavirus. We cannot see it, we cannot hear it. But it’s there. While most of us are being safe and staying at home, there are others on the frontline of each and every battle to save a life.

Our doctors, nurses and other medical and emergency personnel are out there every day. They are working long hours with too little sleep, too little rest and too little self-care.

They are putting their own lives at risk to care for those who are sick with the virus and those who are symptomatic. That makes them heroes. They should all be wearing superman capes.

Here’s to the doctor who wanted to catch just 1/2 hour sleep, but chose not to because another patient was brought in. Here’s to the nurse who hasn’t seen her own loved ones for days because she is needed to care for the sick in the hospital where she works.

Here’s to the EMT who treats every call like it is life or death and provides education on the virus and patiently explains for the millionth time what to look for if you think you are sick with the virus.

Here’s to the medical researchers who haven’t seen their loved ones in weeks because they are rushing to create better, faster testing, a vaccine, a cure.

Here’s to all the lab techs, the medical techs, the doctors’ assistants and nurses’ assistants who are supporting the doctors and nurses in their care of each patient.

To all of you who are selfless, caring, loving and kind: THANK YOU! Thank you for taking care of us. Thank you for giving us hope and thank you for everything you do for us.

My friends, this pandemic blind sided us. One day it wasn’t there and the next it was. That’s how fast it struck. But our health professionals have done an amazing job taking care of us!

Tell them, “THANK YOU!”

Sending you blessings of love and gratitude from Sterrett, Alabama!
