Most of all, I hope you make memories that you will treasure for a lifetime. Making memories with the ones you love is what life is all about. Whether you are a homebody or you travel, making memories is the essence of a happy life.

Think about it. When you look back at your life, what do you think of first? A memory with a parent, a child, another loved one? What comes to mind first? Do you think of a specific Christmas or a certain time in the year? Do you think of a specific spring or summer? A particular fall or winter?
When I look back and let childhood memories wash over me, I can remember what I was wearing on specific days, what my mother and grandmother were doing, what my horses were doing. For some memories, I remember the minute details. For other memories, I don’t necessarily remember the minute details, but I remember exactly the feeling I had. The same is true for adult memories. What would we do without our memories?
I have traveled extensively and I’ve seen a lot of beautiful places. But what sticks in my mind about each and every place I’ve traveled to isn’t a specific Country or City. I made memories with the people I traveled with and the new people I met while there. That’s what sticks in my mind.
I am so thankful that I am surrounded by people who love me, that I have been able to see some beautiful places and, most of all, I am thankful for all the beautiful memories I have made along the way.
