WALK AWAY, RUN AWAY, UNPLUG, DETACH, REMOVE YOURSELF…FROM ALL FORMS OF NEGATIVITY

Good Evening, my friends!  I hope your weekend has been fabulous!

Mine has been GREAT except for a negative comment left on one of my shared posts on my FB page.  It was a very hateful and vulgar comment left under a post that was shared from one of the pages that I share a lot from.

On the rare occasion that I’ve had to ban someone from the page, it has broken my heart.  I’m serious. It has caused me to become physically ill to have to click on “ban” on the offending comment.  Yes, I know it is my page.  Yes, I know I have the right to ban, delete, remove and hide any inappropriate or offending comment from my page.  But, still it bothered me.  Made me lose sleep.  Made me worry about something that I had absolutely no control over.

But, a few months ago, I had something happen that caused me to look at these little negative incidents another way.  I realized that the more physical and mental energy you give to negative people and situations, the more you are hurt by it.  And if you aren’t careful, you will let someone else’s negativity bring you down with them.  And I refused to let this happen.

And I affirm right now:
I will walk away, run away,
unplug, detach, remove myself
from all forms of negativity.
(I will also “ban” people
from my social network pages
who are rude, vulgar, hateful or offensive
to other people and pages.  And I will
do so without losing sleep over it 🙂 )
So, on to something positive!
We (my husband and I) attended a small horse show yesterday in Ragland, Alabama.  We had a great time!  It wasn’t the normal, brutal July hot day.   Don’t get me wrong.  It was hot, but not unbearable.  There was a slight breeze and we were able to sit under a tent on the bleachers during the class shows.  Really nice.

There were many, many beautiful horses at the show, but I fell in love with this beautiful paint.  And what a camera hog (the horse).  She looked like she was smiling for the camera.  They placed first.  They were beautiful together and moved perfectly in sync.

It was wonderful spending the day around so many horse lovers.  There is always a certain “feeling” in the air at a show.  And I love being a part of it.  I wasn’t there to show.  I was just there because I wanted to see the show and be a part of the show feeling.  🙂

All in all, I’d say my weekend was pretty perfect.  Lots of family time and lots of horse time.

What more could I have asked for?
