It’s the first Wednesday of May 2020! Good Morning and Happy Wednesday! I am sending Wednesday hugs your way. I pray you are able to get one of these hugs.
We woke up today. Isn’t that reason enough to praise God? This day is a precious gift. Take every second, every moment and make them count.
We received this gift of a day because we are meant to do something with it. We are right here, right now because God has a purpose for us.
You may be hearing conflicting and confusing reports about reopening areas, businesses, restaurants, etc. Don’t let the chaos of these reports steal your peace.
Stay calm and stay in His peace. Use your common sense and listen to your local authorities on when it is safe for you to start going to those places you need to go to.
Remember that God is in control. Never stop believing and trusting in Him. He knows what He is doing and He is going to bring us through—all the way through—this pandemic.
With this hug, I’m saying, “Be encouraged, be calm, be safe and stay in God’s peace. No matter what anyone else does or says, stay calm and be joyful in the Lord.”
I wanted to pray a short, simple prayer for encouragement. Pray this prayer with me and believe that God is going to bring us all the way through.
Dear God, Thank You for this beautiful, first Wednesday of May. We are so thankful to You for keeping us safe, keeping our families safe and giving us Your peace during this pandemic.
Take away our fears and strengthen our faith. Keep us focused on You and keep us trusting in You. Renew our hope and help us to always believe in miracles.
Keep us patient as we ride out the last days of our stay at home orders. Let us know when it is safe for us to leave our homes and do the things we need to do.
Heal anyone who is still struggling with the virus and make their recovery fast. Heal all Your people, heal this land and the whole world.
Remind us that better days are ahead and that You are with us, that You have never left us and You never will. We are so thankful for Your love.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
