Hugs Of Hope And Encouragement

So, here we are at our first weekend of April and most of us are complying with “stay at home” orders. And not that home is a bad place to be, but we are social animals and it bothers us to be “stuck” somewhere.

“Stuck” is not a good word to use, but it is the only word that fits. When you’re in place somewhere and you want to leave, but you can’t, you’re stuck, right?

But don’t lose hope! Keep hope alive in your heart. Where hope exists, there is faith and where there is faith, miracles happen. Miracles happen every day.

I made it a point to watch less news today because it has become so depressing. But even the little bit I saw painted a dire picture of the pandemic that has taken hold.

But you can’t let the statistics steal your hope. You have to keep believing that the curve is going to level out and then start downwards.

You have to believe that better days are ahead. You have to believe that we, together, are going to get through this. That we are going to get to the other side.

With this hug, I want you to be encouraged. With this hug, I am saying, “Don’t lose hope. Keep believing that we are going to get through these hard times”.

I know you are worried. I know you are scared and I know there seems to be very little positive news out there. But there is good news out there.

There are thousands and thousands of people who are recovering from Coronavirus. You seem to hear more about the ones who have passed away than you hear about the ones recovering.

With this hug, I am sending a short prayer for hope: Dear God, please renew our hope and make us stronger in our faith. We are worried and scared, but we trust in You for protection.

Keep our family and friends safe and free from exposure. Bring peace and joy into our homes as we stay at home to protect ourselves, our families and others. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Whenever you need a hug this weekend, I pray that you will remember this one and know that it is sent with love and care. Have a safe and blessed weekend.

Sending you love, hugs and gratitude from Sterrett, Alabama!
