Some people are just not going to like you. No matter what you say or do, some people just won’t ever like you. And that’s not on you. That’s something to do with them. It’s who they are.
Either they like you or they don’t. Never try to convince somebody of your worth. If a person doesn’t appreciate you, they don’t deserve you. Respect yourself and be with people who truly value you. ~Brigitte Nicole
Don’t let somebody else’s opinion of you change who you are. You are who you are because God made you that way. And never forget that you are a child of the Most High God. Never apologize for being you. That’s like saying you’re sorry for being real.
You are worthy. You deserve the best and nobody has any say in that except you and God. Don’t try to make people realize that you are worthy of their friendship or love. If you have to do that, they are not worth your time. Appreciation for someone should be a two-way street. And if it isn’t, make some changes. If someone doesn’t appreciate you for being real, genuine and authentic, they don’t deserve you. Learn to walk away from people who show you little or no appreciation.
I make it a point to daily tell my husband how much I appreciate him. Yes, I love him and he is my husband, but I appreciate him too! He does so many things for me–things that he doesn’t have to do. And I truly appreciate him.
Always respect yourself and never let anyone disrespect you by making you feel unworthy or not good enough because you don’t fit into the mold that they want you to fit into. Believe me, if you change yourself to please them, you will be changing yourself to please them throughout the relationship.
Be yourself and if others can’t deal with the genuine, real and authentic you, let them be. You just keep on being you.
Sending you blessings of love and gratitude from Sterrett, Alabama!
