Cancer is taking so many people away from us. It’s taking our family members, our friends, our animals, our co-workers, our co-worshipers and school children. It is a horrible disease that claims the lives of so many.
It seems like every week there is someone else that I learn has cancer. And it seems like I hear about higher numbers of people each week. It’s not just one per week anymore. It’s several.
Looking at projections in the time frame of 2012-2030, worldwide cancer cases are projected to increase by 50% from 14 million to 21 million. Worldwide cancer losses are projected to increase by 60% from 8 million to 13 million. Source: cancer.gov.
I wish I could hug all cancer patients and tell them that I love them and don’t give up. Even though I cannot hug them physically, I can hug them with a prayer.
Prayer for Cancer Patients: Dear Lord, I pray for all people who are dealing with cancer. Touch them and their families with Your healing touch. Surround them with Your love, strength, courage and hope. May they have Your wisdom in seeking and finding the right treatments. Bless the doctors, nurses and medical personnel and guide and direct them in caring for their patients. If they ever begin to believe that You have left them, please wrap them in Your arms so that they know You love them and You have not left them. I pray that you remove every cancerous cell from their bodies. Give them new energy and restore their hope. I also pray for the families of the patients. Give them Your strength and help them carry on. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. ~Charity M. Richey-Bentley
Sending you blessings of prayers, hugs and love! God bless you!

Thank you for this prayer. I just got home from having one of my radiation treatments.
I have Stage One Breast Cancer. My doctors think they have caught it in time and my Cancer doctor said she thinks she got all the cancer out of my breast when she did my Lumpectomy.
My radiation treatments were delayed by six weeks because I got an infection in my breast so I had to take antibiotics. The first round of antibiotics didn’t work so she had to put me on something stronger. I also had a lot of blood buildup in my breast so I was going to her once a week to have that blood buildup drained from my breast.
When the draining procedure got down to only getting out 10 cc of blood they decided it was alright to start my radiation treatments.
I will be having four weeks of radiation treatments. I have three more weeks to go.
I have had two prior back surgeries and have had my left hip replaced ten years ago and this past May I had to have the ball joint and cup replaced in my hip implant. That table I have to lay on is so hard it just tears my back up and makes both of my hips hurt terribly. I can’t hardly walk nor stand up straight because of this.
Praise the Lord I do not have to have Chemo. After I finish my radiation treatments my Oncologist has told me that she is going to put me on an anti hormone pill that I will have to take for seven years.
I know that God is bigger than Cancer! I know he is still on the throne and still in control!
I believe in the power of prayer and I will appreciate all the prayers I can get!
Just within the last week of my treatments I saw two ladies there that I know personally because we went to school together.
It just breaks my heart to see all the people there that have it worse than I do… As I am getting my treatment I lie there and pray not just for myself but for all the people that I see there.

I’m so sorry that you are having to go through so many health problems. My mom has chronic leukemia and taking treatments to boost her immune system. She’s 87 years old and has only one kidney (due to cancer). She’s had 2 heart attacks, but still thankful to be here to celebrate Christmas with her family. I thank God she’s still with us! I’ll be praying that all your treatments go well and that God will heal you of all cancer. Merry Christmas!
