Easter can be a wonderful time of the year, but it can also be sad. Some people struggle with memories of loved ones who have passed on. The sadness they feel in their hearts overrides the joy of Easter.
And, of course, this year, we are celebrating Easter in our homes, away from our loved ones who are still with us. So it is even harder for us.
Whether your loved ones have been gone a short period or for many years, this can be a hard time. You want to feel joy and the peace that Easter can bring, but you find it so hard to do because you are missing your loved ones so much.
The one thing that has helped me the most has been prayer. Prayer is a powerful weapon God gave to us. I don’t know where I would be without prayer and my faith that have brought me through many hard times.
I pray for peace in my heart and soul and I pray for God to comfort me during the hard times. Prayer has never been more important.
We are living in scary times. We are worried about our loved ones as we stay in place to protect ourselves from exposure to the Coronavirus.
So, I am praying this prayer for you–that you will find peace and know His comfort for your heart. I hope it helps you.
Dear Heavenly Father, It’s hard for many right now because their hearts are broken. They can’t feel the joy and happiness of this Easter Season.
We are thankful for the gift of Your Son, but we are missing our loved ones so much-both those who have left us and those who are separated from us.
You promised to be near the brokenhearted and help them with their wounds. God, some of us can’t see Your way and our eyes keep losing focus on You.
Give us Your peace, and lead us to comfort. Help us find refreshment for our souls. Send Your gift of love and let us feel hope in our hearts. Take away our sadness and replace it with Your joy. Be with us this Easter Season! In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

My 2 best friends passed within 20 days of each other. My husband whom I miss incessantly and my children still alive but so far away.
This is the 1st easter without my step dad but i know hes watching over me hes with my mom who is also in heaven
