Mother’s Day Hugs

Happy Mother’s Day! Good Morning, my friends! Happy Sunday! It’s going to be a beautiful Mother’s Day today. Believe it.

I’m sending Mother’s Day hugs your way! This hug is to bring you encouragement and to say, “God loves you, He cares for you, He is with you and He will never leave you”.

Most of us still cannot be with our parents today. We are still staying at home to protect ourselves and others.

We won’t be able to see each other in person, worship together, have Mother’s Day lunch together or give our Mothers flowers and gifts.

This situation is not ideal. As a matter of fact, it is much less than ideal. We long to be able to be with our families, especially our parents.

But I am trusting God and believing that this is our last Sunday in isolation. I believe that we will be able to spend time with our extending families and friends soon.

I wanted to pray a simple prayer and send it with this Mother’s Day hug. Please pray this prayer with me and receive the blessings sent with it:

Dear God, Thank You for waking us up to this beautiful Mother’s Day Sunday. And thank You for all our wonderful Mothers.

We pray for all the Mothers who do whatever it takes to care for their children and provide a nurturing, caring and loving environment for their children to grow up in.

Even in the best of times, it is hard work.  And it has been even harder for our Mothers, who during this pandemic,  have remained strong and provided a positive, nurturing environment for their children.

These are Mothers who have prayed without ceasing for their families, mothers who have become impromptu teachers and counselors.

These are Mothers who have tried to work from home while they are also caring for children. These Mothers are Superheroes and we thank You for each and every one.

For all the mothers who are separated from their families on Mother’s Day, please wrap them in Your loving arms and let them know they are not alone.

May we remember that better days are coming and our next Mother’s Day can be celebrated together. We trust that You are making our spaces safe again.

Make our Sunday a beautiful Mother’s Day. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
