Good Morning! It was God who brought us through the week and it was God who woke us up to see another beautiful weekend. Give Him praise!
And it isn’t just any weekend. It’s Memorial Day weekend. It’s the weekend we remember and honor all those who have sacrificed so much.
Try not to bring any worries, fears and anxieties of the week into the weekend with you. Try to clear your mind of everything and focus on making today count.
Do your best to have a day and a weekend of peace and reflection. Remember and honor all who have sacrificed so much.
This weekend, it is especially important that we feel the peace that God wants us to feel. He doesn’t want us to live in drama and chaos. He wants us to live in and project peace.
Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. ~Philippians 4:6-7.
If you can get out this weekend, and you feel it is safe for you, get out and enjoy yourself. If your local authorities are advising you to stay in, know that better days are coming.
God has brought us through these difficult times. He has protected us, provided for us and calmed our hearts. He has been with us the whole time.
He has placed His peace in our hearts and we have relied upon Him to bring us through. He has heard our prayers and He is working things out for us in His timing.
I’m sending you this hug to help you let all your stress and worry go. With this hug, I am saying, “Let your stress go, let God have your worries and fears and have a weekend filled with God’s peace”.
And I am sending a little prayer with your hug: Dear God, Please bless everyone reading this. We are so thankful You have brought us to this beautiful Memorial Day Weekend.
Give us a weekend that is filled with Your peace and calm. Help us to remember what this weekend is all about: remembering and honoring those who gave it all.
Place a shield of protection around us that protects us from all harm. Guide our footsteps away from danger and keep our eyes and hearts focused on You.
Let only positive people and energy enter our homes. Remove all negativity from our spaces and dispel drama before it finds us. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Whenever you need a hug today, I hope you will remember this one. Memorial Day Weekend Saturday Hugs!
Sending you blessings of love and gratitude from Sterrett, Alabama!
