Trust is a very, very expensive “thing”. You can’t buy it, you can’t touch it. But you know if you have it. You know if your heart and soul trust something or someone. And you know if you don’t have it for someone or something.
We’ve all been there. We’ve all trusted someone and then something happened to make us lose trust. That’s life. Those things happen. We can’t stop this kind of thing from happening. Everybody finds out sometime in their life that they placed trust in someone who betrayed that trust.
And that’s the worst feeling in the world. Sometimes it can take years to learn to trust someone. It is built slowly over time–sometimes a lifetime–but it takes only seconds for that trust to be lost.
No one can really give you advice on who you can trust or what to look for when you’re trying to decide if you can trust someone. All we can do is say, “Be careful”.
The devil was once an angel. Be careful who you trust.
You can’t ignore little red flags. When something comes up and your gut tells you that you can’t trust someone, listen. Listen to what your gut is saying. Don’t try to turn it into something else. It is what it is. Your gut and mind are trying to protect you.
Trust is necessary in all types of relationships: between partners/spouses, between friends, between coworkers, teachers and students, pastor and congregation and so on. If there is no trust in these relationships, they really aren’t relationships. They may know each other, but there isn’t a real relationship between them.
Usually when lack of trust ends a relationship, the one who has lost trust can look back and see that they ignored those little red flags. They told themselves they were imagining things or, in a business relationship, their partner just handled some business issues differently than they themselves did. Or if someone told them that a friend was bad-mouthing them, they decided it was the person telling them, the one sharing the news with them, who couldn’t be trusted.
Be careful. Listen to your gut and listen to your heart.

There is one you can trust Jesus Christ, he never leaves you, if you listen to his word he can lead you to a wonderful place in your life. When you listen to man, well look where we are at. The devil was once an angel he didnt listen to God, look where hes at, lol hell bound.
I choose Jesus Christ, who died, defeated death and rose again, all for those who trust and love and believe in him.

This message that I read about trust came as a message to me from God. I was not searching for this message, but a friend shared your information with me. And I truly listened. Actually, now I am trusting the Lord to direct my future. A gentleman has asked me to be his wife. And presently, that gut feeling is making me pay more attention. Mere words, cannot express the gratefulness for the message I will treasure for the rest of my life. Thank you.

The content of the story is a daily occurrence. Betrayal all over, but my assurance is my trust in God who is the author and finisher of my faith.

My first thoughts on a subject like this is Proverbs 3:5-6. If you have close friends that honor this scripture you can be sure you can keep trusting in them. Most of the time they will continue to agree with you, and even if they do not it is not time to give up on them as your friend. Even the prodigal son returned to his loving father.
