I thank God for the gift of prayer. I truly believe that prayer is the strongest force available to us. It links us to Jesus, it links us to God.
Prayer. The most powerful against trials. A powerful weapon against sickness. And the most valuable gift to someone you love.
And I pray for everything. Truly everything. I pray for my family, my friends, my relationships, my work, and the world.
And I pray for me. I believe that if you don’t have your own heart in the right place, that your prayers for others are not as powerful as they could be. So, I pray for me.
Always pray to have eyes that see the best, a heart that forgives the worst, a mind that forgets the bad, and a soul that never loses faith in God.
I always want my eyes to see the good, to see the best. You’ve heard me say over and over again, “Always look for the good”. And I try to do that. But it is taking it to another level to look for the “best”. When you look for the best in people, you’ll see things you never thought you would see.
I get it. Sometimes, you have people in your life for whom you can’t see any good. But, if you’ll look a little deeper, you’ll see something and it may be their best quality.
It may be their only best quality, but it’s there. So, I pray that my eyes see the best.
Forgiveness is a process that sometimes takes a lifetime to develop. And it takes practice. Years of practice. But, if you do practice, your heart can learn to forgive the very worst.
I’ve had to learn, over the years, that forgiveness is for me. I’m not forgiving the other person to help them. I am forgiving to help me. To free me. To help me move forward.
Training your mind to forget the bad also takes practice. For me, the word “forget” here means not to focus on the bad. Move on from it. Focus on the good and move forward.
Finally, I pray that I never lose faith in God. I pray that my soul is always bathed in faith and that I live my life in faith.
Sending you blessings of love and gratitude from Sterrett, Alabama!
