Whew! Our last day of traveling back to ‘Bama. We are beat.
It has been wonderful–a very successful trip in so many ways, but we are ready for home. Ready to spend the night in our own bed and not be pushed to make 600 miles a day. Ready to love on my 4-legged babies and make sure they still know I love them.
You may have felt that way at some point in your life. A time when you just can’t wait to feel the familiarity of home, smell your own green grass of your own lawn, open your own refrigerator, use a television for which you know the numbers of your favorite channels by heart.
I love my home. It isn’t just a physical structure with surrounding pastures and outlying buildings. It is my heart, my joy, my comfort and my haven. I have traveled extensively, but I don’t believe I will ever live anywhere other than the beautiful State of Alabama. Quite simply, I am home in Alabama and my heart and soul are at peace there.
Say a little prayer for us on our last day of driving back. I hope you have a wonderful Thursday! 🙂
