My days literally fly. I sometimes hear someone say, “This has been the longest day of my life,” and I wonder what they mean by that.
I could understand what they mean if they are waiting to hear about a health diagnosis for themselves or a loved one, but these people are just going about their daily activities.
They literally live trying to make time pass faster rather than living in each moment and enjoying life. It’s as if they are wishing their life away.
I can’t do that. I cannot be on a job, at home, out running errands, out at the barn or doing anything else and hope that the time passes faster.
For me, it is always the other way around. I find myself hoping for more time. Always. I sometimes look at a clock and think, ‘How can that be?’
I need more time to do what I am doing because I enjoy my life. And, as I have grown older, I’ve realized more and more that life is so very short.
And now, with the health crisis and the chaos across our Country, I see even more clearly that our life is so fast. We can’t let it be so fast and so chaotic that we don’t enjoy our life.
Yes, we still have blessings, even with the health crisis, even with the chaos across our Country. And you don’t have to look too long to see your blessings.
We are going through very hard times. Do your best to trust in God and enjoy your days. Turn over all the hard times and the worries to God.
He gave us this life to enjoy it. Laughter is good for the heart and soul. The Bible tells us that a joyful heart is good medicine.
A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit saps a person’s strength. ~Proverbs 17:22.
Life is short. Enjoy your days. Laugh every chance you get. Cry only if you must. And never let others bring you down.
We all have to cry every now and then. That’s just who we are. I’ve had days where I’ve had to stop what I am doing and just let the tears flow.
That’s normal. But then, you have to get up and keep moving forward. And surround yourself with people who also enjoy life. When you do that, they support you and don’t try to bring you down.
