Good Morning, My Friends. It’s a beautiful Monday and it’s Memorial Day! It’s a day of remembrance, a day of reflection and a day of gratitude.
Memorial Day is the day we remember and send up a prayer of thanks for all those who paid the ultimate price to protect our freedom.
We are so blessed to live in a free Country. We are able to live the way we want to, worship the way we want to, go where we want to go and do the things we want to do.
But, freedom, my friends, isn’t free. Many have paid a very high price to keep us free. And I am so thankful, so grateful to them.
There is nothing that can take away the feeling of loss when you’ve lost a loved one. But, I pray, in some small way, that you feel the love and care sent with this hug.
Because with this hug, I am saying, “For all the Soldiers who are in Heaven, may God hold them close to His heart. And May God let all their families know how brave, strong and courageous their loved ones were”.
I also wanted to send a short, simple prayer with this hug. Pray this prayer with me and receive the blessings sent with it:
Dear God, Thank You for letting us see another Memorial Day. We are thankful to have a day of remembrance and gratitude for all the Heroes who are now with You.
Being separated from our families has been so hard on us. It is especially hard on a day that reminds us of someone who has left us too soon.
Even if people are still in their homes and cannot yet get out, bring families together on this Memorial Day. We are so thankful that You are bringing us through these trying times.
Take away our sadness and give us Your peace and comfort. We know that You love us and You are making a way for us. We long for the days when we can all be together again.
May we never forget that freedom isn’t free and we are the Land of the free because of the brave. We are the Land of opportunity and realized dreams because of the brave.
Be with my family and friends today and let them feel Your presence. Make our Memorial Day Monday a beautiful, blessed day. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Whenever you need a hug today, I hope you’ll remember this one. Memorial Day Hugs! Monday Hugs!
Sending you blessings of love and gratitude from Sterrett, Alabama!
