You’ve heard it said, “We don’t get to pick our family…we are born into it,” right? How many times has that thought come into your head? Be honest.
I don’t know of any perfect families. All families deal with issues. That’s just life. But if you have the love of a family, you are blessed.
My greatest treasure is my family. We are not perfect, but I love them with all my heart.
Our family is a haven. It’s where we find a place to call home. No matter where you roam, your family is what always calls you back home.
The bond between family members is the strongest bonds that can be developed. The bonds come from years of understanding each other, going through hard times and good times together.
The bonds are strengthened through support of each other and through loving each other no matter what happens.
We must always be careful to protect and preserve our family bonds. It is so difficult sometimes. Especially when a rift occurs within a family and family members become estranged.
It is the responsibility of each family member to bring members back together and rebuild the bonds between them.
Take care of your family. A family is our greatest treasure. Whether blood or not, it is made up of the people who love us and accept us for who we are.
Family isn’t always blood. It’s the people in your life who want you in theirs; the ones who accept you for who you are.
The ones who would do anything to see you smile and love you no matter what.
In today’s crazy world, we may see large rifts occurring within families because we feel differently about what is going on across our Country.
One family member may feel differently than the rest. Or there may be an even divide. But don’t let your differences dictate how you treat each other.
If you look long enough, you’ll see something good in their heart. And you’ll remember that there is something that you agree on.
Don’t try to change who they are. Just love them and maintain closeness. Remember why you love them and accept that you may feel differently about some things.
The best gift we can give our family is spending time with them. There is no greater gift in the world than being with each other.
Preserve some family bonding time each day. In today’s hectic world, it is difficult to find time just for the family to bond.
But do everything you can to make that happen. Years and years from now, you will be glad you did.
Sending blessings of love and gratitude from Sterrett, Alabama!

I don’t think I have ever read or heard such a beautiful saying (letter). I agree when you have your family in different states, it is very difficult for all to get together at one time. I know we all Love one another and that is what counts. The one good thing is we all have internet so that is our get togethers. We are all different in Faith, politics and etc. Thank you so much for you note. Delores

Amen!! We all need to learn to agree to disagree! Families are not robots. We all have different personalities and need to respect each other, even with different faith, politics, etc. I love my 3 brothers and my 2 children and grandchildren. We need each other.
