Cancer is taking so many people away from us. It’s taking our family members, our friends, our animals, our co-workers, our co-worshipers and school children. It is a horrible disease that claims the lives of so many.
It seems like every week there is someone else that I learn has cancer. And it seems like I hear about higher numbers of people each week. It’s not just one per week anymore. It’s several.
Looking at projections in the time frame of 2012-2030, worldwide cancer cases are projected to increase by 50% from 14 million to 21 million. Worldwide cancer deaths are projected to increase by 60% from 8 million to 13 million. Source: cancer.gov.
I wish I could hug all cancer patients and tell them that I love them and don’t give up. Even though I cannot hug them physically, I can hug them with a prayer.
Prayer for Cancer Patients: Dear Lord, I pray for all people who are dealing with cancer. Touch them and their families with Your healing touch. Surround them with Your love, strength, courage and hope. May they have Your wisdom in seeking and finding the right treatments. Bless the doctors, nurses and medical personnel and guide and direct them in caring for their patients. If they ever begin to believe that You have left them, please wrap them in Your arms so that they know You love them and You have not left them. I pray that you remove every cancerous cell from their bodies. Give them new energy and restore their hope. I also pray for the families of the patients. Give them Your strength and help them carry on. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. ~Charity M. Richey-Bentley

Lord it breaks my heart that my 28 year old has cancer. The prayer above is how I feel in my heart. She is a beautiful granddaughter and it is hard for her but she tries to smile. She has breast cancer and another cancer that only 10000 people in the world has, It is from the genes . She has had cancer for 5 years and did not know it. She has 2 precious little girls that do not understand what has happened to their Mommy. Please Lord wrap your healing arms around her. Lord speak to heart and help her and all of her family be strong. Thank you Lord for answering my prayers.
