Easter can be a wonderful time of the year, but it can also be sad. Some people struggle with memories of loved ones who have passed on. The sadness they feel in their hearts overrides the joy of Easter.
Whether your loved ones have been gone a short period or for many years, this can be a hard time. You want to feel joy and the peace that Easter can bring, but you find it so hard to do because you are missing your loved ones so much.
The one thing that has helped me the most has been prayer. Prayer is a powerful weapon God gave to us. I don’t know where I would be without prayer and my faith that have brought me through many hard times.
I pray for peace in my heart and soul and I pray for God to comfort me during the hard times. Prayer has never been more important.
So, I am praying this prayer for you–that you will find peace and know His comfort for your heart. I hope it helps you.
Dear Heavenly Father, It’s hard for many right now because their hearts are broken. They can’t feel the joy and happiness of this Easter Season because they have lost loved ones.
We are thankful for the gift of Your Son, but we are missing our loved ones so much-both those who have left us and those who are separated from us.
You promised to be near the brokenhearted and help them with their wounds. God, some of us can’t see Your way and our eyes keep losing focus on You.
Help us to remember all the good times we’ve had with our loved ones and celebrate their life as we celebrate during this Easter Season.
Give us Your peace, and lead us to comfort. Help us find refreshment for our souls. Send Your gift of love and let us feel hope in our hearts. Take away our sadness and replace it with Your joy.
Show us a way to happiness, peace and joy and may we always serve as Your light to help others find You in darkness.
Be with us this Easter Season! In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Amen we lost our brother in law Lyle 2 months ago.still so unreal and we still cry alot with my sister. I pray this prayer for the family. His mom Grandma and sisters. Mostly I pray this prayer for my sister and her children. We pray that one day they will be at a better place

My blessed husband is f 48 years went expectantly to be with Lord last year during the Easter season, April 14th. This Easter it seems like his passing all over again. I’m rejoicing that he is with the Lord but missing him so much. 💜
