Saturday Hugs

Well, what do you know? It’s Saturday, my friends! Welcome to the fourth Saturday of July. I am glad God led you here on this beautiful Saturday and we get to spend a few minutes together.

We made it through another week, my friends. And how did we get through the week to this beautiful weekend? Did we do it by ourselves.

No! God brought us through the week and it was God who woke us up to see another beautiful weekend. I, for one, am so grateful to have another beautiful weekend.

Try not to bring any worries, fears and anxieties of the week into the weekend with you. Try to clear your mind of everything and focus on making today count and making the weekend count.

We’ve had so much to worry about this week. We are still having large numbers of cases all over the country. And some of us have lost loved ones to this pandemic.

And there are some cities who have experienced two months of unrest. And some are bracing for extreme unrest this weekend. My heart breaks when I see these images on TV.

I’m sending you this hug to help you let all your stress and worry go. With this hug, I am saying, “Let your stress go, let God have your worries and fears and have a weekend filled with God’s peace”.

And I am sending a little prayer with your hug. Please pray this prayer with me and believe that God is working in our lives and He is working things out for us.

Dear God, Please bless everyone reading this. We are so thankful You have brought us to this beautiful, fourth Saturday of July.

It feels good knowing that You have a purpose for us, a reason to be on this earth. May we use this day for Your glory and honor. May we do everything with Your love.

Lord, give us a weekend that is filled with Your peace, calm, happiness and joy. Place a shield of protection around us that protects us from all harm.

Lord, bring an end to this pandemic. Take this sickness away from this Country and away from all Countries. Heal anyone suffering with this virus and give them renewed strength.

Lord, bring an end to the unrest across our Country. Bring Your people together in Your love and heal the division that divides us and keeps us in chaos.

Guide our footsteps away from danger and keep our eyes and hearts focused on You. May we be a blessing to others and may we treat everyone with Your kindness and love.

Let only positive people and energy enter our homes. Remove all negativity from our spaces and dispel drama before it finds us. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
