The Blood Moons: Beautiful Astronomy or Prophecy or a Chance for New Beginnings…maybe all of the above…
Early in the evening of September 27th 2015, a bright full moon will rise in the North American skies. Then, just past 8 o’clock eastern, that moon will begin to transform into “a blood moon” as it passes into the earth’s shadow, turning a deep red hue.
This particular lunar eclipse is the 4th in 18 months, completing a rare Blood Moon Tetrad.
I can’t deny the “beauty” in certain aspects of astronomy. I think part of it is the fact that there is no “fakeness” to this kind of beauty. You can’t put makeup on it and cover up any kind of flaws—there are no flaws—it is just naturally occurring beauty that can only be found in nature. So, that’s a big check mark to the first item in my list—the blood moons are definitely beautiful astronomy. J
What makes this particular Blood Moon Tetrad unique is that each of its four Blood Moons have fallen on Jewish Feast Holidays:
APRIL 15, 2014–Passover
OCTOBER 8, 2014–Feast of the Tabernacles
APRIL 4, 2015–Passover
SEPTEMBER 28, 2015–Feast of the Tabernacles
This has happened only seven times in the last 2,000 years.
Add to these coincidences the fact that September closes another Shmitah, the year-long Hebrew Sabbatical observed every 7 years. These Shmitah years have become notorious for bringing with them social and economic disruption, including stock market crashes, energy shortages, recessions and—most notably— the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks, followed seven years later by the deepest stock market plunge in history.
So, is there prophecy associated with the blood moons? Well, we can’t really dispute the chronological facts:

Many spiritual leaders believe that September 27-28, 2015 is very significant for Israel. And, if we go solely by the chronological facts, I do too. History has a way of pointing us to the future. John Hagee, is the author of The Four Blood Moons: Something is About to Change. He points out that with the last 3 tetrads of blood moons, SIGNIFICANT EVENTS have occurred for the state of Israel. He does not, as many have reported, say that the world will end on September 27th, but does say, based on current times and the domestic/foreign state of affairs, everything is again lining up for significant events in Israel.
Do I believe that the blood moons are about prophecy? Yes, I do. I too believe that something is about to change. That is a big ‘ol check mark for the second item in my list… “Prophecy”.
Many people believe that high frequency energies will come with the lunar eclipse—energies that will purge the old and renew us. Many believe that we will see the manifestations of these energies through emotional and spiritual upheaval. These energies will be strong, in addition to helping us purge negativity and pain from the past, they will help heal and transform us into stronger human beings.
Do I believe that the lunar eclipse offers me a chance for new beginnings? Yes, I do. I don’t know about you, but I already feel a little unsettled…like something major is happening. And I am going to embrace new beginnings and second chances! I am going to saddle up and hold on tight! It just might be a bumpy ride!
So that’s a check mark for the 3rd item on my list… “A chance for new beginnings”.
