My life is good. I have God to thank for that. I’ll be sixty years old in two years. But I don’t feel that age. I feel younger than that. Although there are times…
I’m too old for games, too tired to pretend, and too wise for lies.
When you read that, does it hit you in the gut? Do you feel that it applies to you? If you do, then, every now and then, you must have someone who tries to play games with your head or your heart. Right?
As we get older, we learn to recognize people who are the game players. We can recognize them way off. Game players are usually the narcissistic people, the ones whose life is all about themselves. And they see every area of life as a game. And the only way they play is to get everything for themselves. Don’t walk. Run from them. As fast as you can.
I guess I never learned to pretend to be anyone else because of the way I grew up. We had a tough time. But we were real. We had each other and we never thought about being someone other than who we really were. But I know people who do pretend.
Times passes and you begin to see, people for who they really are and not for who they pretend to be.
It may take a while for some people, but for the most part, you can see straight through a person who is a pretender. They may pretend to have certain attributes or their whole life may be a pretense, but eventually, the truth comes out.
Some people think that the truth can be hidden with a little cover-up and decoration. But as time goes by, what is true is revealed and what is fake fades away.
And the liars. Oh, the liars. There are some people who lie about everything. They can’t seem to help themselves. As we get older, we learn to recognize the liars and the lies for who and what they are. It’s just a part of living life. You become wiser and your lie detector becomes finely tuned.
Sending you blessings of love and gratitude from Sterrett, Alabama!

Love this it is so fitting for me. I deal with this everyday at the work place. I continue to stand back and pray and let God handle it. I know He will because He has did it before when people has come up against me. So much disrespect, games and lies. Vengeance is His.

Thanks be to God for my upbringing. My Dad died of cancer when I was three. There was seven children, the oldest seventeen. Mom had to work, something three jobs, the boys helped in tobacco. Yet we owned our own land, house and no one was ever in jail, gangs or on drugs . All this because of a single black woman and a merciful God !!! Thank you Lord

Thank you so much it is true. Also through our own up and down life experiences that we didn’t understand. God brought us to this age to see clearly. We pray for those who are not there yet. When they are to understand and help others it is a journey only God knows. Thank you God bless you.
