Good Morning and Happy Wednesday! We’ve reached the middle of the week, my friends! It’s our third Wednesday of August 2024 and we are blessed because we woke up to see this new day. Thank You, God!
I get a lot of emails telling me that Friday hugs are their favorite, but Wednesday hugs are their next favorite. I may agree with that, but right now, Wednesday hugs are definitely my favorite.
A mid-week hug is always welcome. It helps you to let go of any stress that you’ve had in the beginning of the week and it renews your peace and helps you prepare for the rest of the week.
I wanted to pray a short, simple prayer and send it with your hug. Please pray this prayer with me and receive the blessings I am sending with it.
Dear God, It’s another beautiful day, Lord. Whether we have sunshine or rain, it is beautiful because You woke us up to see this beautiful, third Wednesday of August 2024.
Not only did we wake up, Lord. But we are healthy. Our families are healthy. We have a family who loves us and food on our table. And we are blessed with so many more things.
Lord, we know that You are in control and You are making a way for us. And we know that, with You, all things are possible.
Heal everyone who is sick and suffering and restore good, complete health to their bodies.
Touch us and remove cancer, diabetes, heart disease, liver disease, kidney disease, lung disease, arthritis, hypertension, lupus, addiction and all other illnesses we are struggling with.
Remove our pains and replace worry with Your peace and calm. Thank You for opening doors of opportunity, bringing happiness to our homes, and our families’ homes.
Lord, we cannot make it without You. You give us strength to keep going. You give us hope for our futures. Renew our faith and trust in You, Lord.
Lord, we need You more than ever. We need You in every part of our lives. We need You at home, in our workplaces, in our public spaces, in our schools and everywhere else.
We thank You for never leaving us. For always helping us, for always leading and guiding us, and for always forgiving us. We thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, so that our sins are forgiven and we may live eternally.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Good Morning!
Thanks for the hug and especially “thank-you” for the words I have had taped to my bathroom mirror for 5 years! Choose to Live in Joy has inspired and supported me through the loss of my beloved Dad, living and choosing to love a broken life with my forever grieving Mom, estrangement of siblings, physical challenges, and just life like so many experience. It’s also fully reminded me to cherish every second of love and laughter with my beautiful Grand-daughters, hold my children with open, loving arms, see the world with my life-long love, enjoy being retired and follow a path that brings me life through faith.
Today I am 70. Today, after I’ve checked on Mom and fed my devoted Brittany, Rusty, I’m off to get my driver’s license renewed and help setup our new preschool class at church. I can’t wait to start my new job as an assistant preschool teacher!
I am filled with gratitude and your words have helped me on a path that leads to Joy!
