Wishing You a Beautiful AND POSITIVE First Weekend of 2015!
Well, my friends, we made it. Yep. We are now in 2015 and we are standing strong! Doesn’t that feel great?! Don’t you want to keep that feeling of “new beginnings”, the feeling of “having a clean slate”, the feeling of “second chances” and the feeling of “all things are possible”?!
I know I do! And it is possible. It is possible for you…it is possible for me…it is possible for all of us. There’s just two things we have to do:
- Be a Positive Thinker
- Surround ourselves with positive thinkers.
It sounds really simple, doesn’t it? But it isn’t simple at all. We have to train ourselves to get rid of negative thoughts as soon as they enter our mind. It takes some practice. It takes us having a talk with ourselves and making sure that we don’t dwell on any negativity.
You’ve heard the saying, “You can’t live a positive life with a negative mind,” right? This was a lesson I took to heart over 2014. More than any other lesson I learned during 2014, I learned this:
Negative thoughts create
negative words which create
negative actions which create
more negative coming back to you which
creates a negative life.
It’s really true. Negative thoughts create a negative life. I also learned during 2014, if you surround yourself with negative thinkers, no matter how hard you work on yourself, you lose some of the positivity that you’ve gained. Don’t let that happen.
Have you ever been around someone that had the attitude of “Woe Is Me”? According to them, absolutely everything goes wrong for them. They complain about everything in life. It’s as if all the joy has been sucked out of them and they simply emanate negativity. They blame everyone else and do not take responsibility for themselves. They never stop and say, “I’m an adult. I have the ability to make my own decisions, my own choices. There is no one, other than myself, to “blame” for my actions.” These people are toxic. And if you hang around them, you will find yourself getting back into the pattern of negative thinking. I am not saying that you should stop loving people. However, some people must be loved from a distance. You can wish them well, pray for them and bless them without getting caught up in their negativity.
Decide today that you are going to have a positive weekend, a positive next week, a positive month of January, a positive every month of the year. At the beginning of 2016, you’ll look back and say what a positive year I had in 2015!
Blessings to you!
