You deserve to be happy. Not just a little bit happy. Not just mediocre happy. You deserve to be genuinely happy, excited happy, ready-to-face-each-day happy.
You deserve to be happy. You deserve to live a life you are excited about. Don’t let others make you forget that. ~Unknown.
Have you ever been at a point in your life where you are feeling so, so blessed and as soon as you have that feeling of being blessed, a little voice whispers:
“You don’t deserve this.” “This won’t last.” “You haven’t done enough for others.”
Yeah, I’ve heard those things before too. But the truth is, you do deserve to be happy. It will last. And you spend a large part of your life making other people happy.
You must remember that life is made up of more than worrying about work, stressing over deadlines, finding a soulmate and setting goals. Often, you put so much work and worry into what is coming next, you end up missing out on a very important piece of the right here and now: You.
You deserve to be happy and the internal you is more important than the external things around you. Learn to make your happiness a priority and, if you don’t believe it about yourself, tell yourself over and over again, that you deserve happiness and you are worthy of happiness.
Let toxic people go. People who tear you down and tear you apart do not play a role in your happiness. You just have to cut the cord. Let them go for your peace of mind, to better yourself and to remind yourself that you are worthy.
Once you’ve rid yourself of the toxic people, you’ve made room for people who genuinely care for you. Be gentle. Who are those people that want to love you? Those people who will walk with you in the storms? Those people who will drive hours to see you just so that they can listen to you and offer a shoulder? Those are the people who deserve to be part of your happiness.
And if you reach a point in your happiness where you start thinking, “This is too good to be true,” kick that thought to the curb. Because “Nothing is too good to be true.”
You deserve a loving relationship, a great job and a wonderful place to live. You deserve every abundance, every blessing, every awesome experience you are having and are going to have. And don’t you forget that for one second.
Sending you blessings of love and gratitude from Sterrett, Alabama!
