We all go through hard times. Every single one of us. We all have a day every now and then when we struggle. And sometimes the hard times last longer than a day–maybe a week or month and some struggle for even longer.
Are you struggling? Do you feel a tightness in your chest because you are so worried about something? It may be a family member, a relationship, or your work, but there is something that has you so burdened that your heart is heavy.
Even the strongest of us have moments where the burdens of life are just too heavy. It’s then that The Lord whispers to our hearts:
“Come to me, all you are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” ~Matthew 11:28
I tell myself daily to just breathe. And calm down. Remember who has told you that He’s got your back, remember who said He would give you rest. He didn’t just say that He would make you feel a little bit better. No, that’s not what He said.
He said that He would give you rest. When you are in a restful state, you are not anxious about anything. Your body, your mind, your heart and your soul are light. That tells you that He isn’t taking you half-way. He is giving you rest. And He didn’t just say that some of you can come to me. Nope. He said all you who are weary.
I am giving all my worries to God for prayer and rest in my heart and soul. I’m asking that God give me such complete rest that all burdens and unhappiness are removed from me. God is a powerful God. And prayer is the most powerful force in the Universe for us. God gave us prayer and I use it. I thank You, God, in advance for my rest.
Sending you blessings of love, prayer, gratitude and rest from Sterrett, Alabama!
