We all go through hard times. Every single one of us. We all have a day every now and then when we struggle. And sometimes the hard times last longer than a day–maybe a week or month and some struggle for even longer.
Are you struggling? Do you feel a tightness in your chest because you are so worried about something? It may be a family member, a relationship, or your work, but there is something that has you so burdened that your heart is heavy.
Even the strongest of us have moments where the burdens of life are just too heavy. It’s then that The Lord whispers to our hearts:
“Come to me, all you are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” ~Matthew 11:28
I tell myself daily to just breathe. And calm down. Remember who has told you that He’s got your back, remember who said He would give you rest. He didn’t just say that He would make you feel a little bit better. No, that’s not what He said.
He said that He would give you rest. When you are in a restful state, you are not anxious about anything. Your body, your mind, your heart and your soul are light. That tells you that He isn’t taking you half-way. He is giving you rest. And He didn’t just say that some of you can come to me. Nope. He said all you who are weary.
I am giving all my worries to God for prayer and rest in my heart and soul. I’m asking that God give me such complete rest that all burdens and unhappiness are removed from me. God is a powerful God. And prayer is the most powerful force in the Universe for us. God gave us prayer and I use it. I thank You, God, in advance for my rest.
Sending you blessings of love, prayer, gratitude and rest from Sterrett, Alabama!
Charity M. Richey-Bentley

I praise God for you Charity M. Richey-Bentley. And I thank you for the powerful word you’ve shared for me and all else. It’s a word that I needed to hear again and be clarified on every single day. I’m currently suffering from grief after the passing of my mother last April 03, 2019 just four days before my birthday. I had to come back to my island Saipan from my previous residence in Charleston, S.C. leaving everything I have just to bury her, but here I am now stuck in my grief mourning my late mom until now. It’s hard to come out of it cuz I had promised to take care of her during my previous visit three years before she died, and I had failed her on that note. Although my other siblings were her caregiver, she had to choose me over them. I have so much regrets, resentments, hurt that it kills me every time I think of her. I know I missed her truly and I still visit her grave just to talk to her and wishing that I see her too. Please help pray for me and counsel me on this matter if you will. Thank you so much for your kindness and understanding. May God bless you always and forever!
I am keeping you in my prayers. Your words are very, very moving. I understand you completely.
God Bless You.
