Parts of Tennessee have suffered terrible devastation from tornados that occurred on March 3, 2020. Experts have said that 165 mph winds wreaked havoc for more than an hour. Lost loved ones, lost homes, and lost communities were all part of the devastation.
While we will never know why these things happen, we do know that God has not left the wonderful people of Tennessee. God is still there with them. He knows their pain and He hears their prayers.
I have never experienced a devastating storm like our friends in Tennessee so I cannot pretend to put myself in their place. But I have been close to areas that suffered from devastating storms and their pain is raw and all-consuming.
While we can’t physically be with our friends in Tennessee, we can cover them in prayer. We can let them know how much we care by praying for them. I pray this prayer for all victims of the storms, their families and their broader communities.
Dear, God. Please be with our friends in Tennessee. For all the victims of the storms, please replace their fear with Your peace. For all families who have lost loved ones, please hold them close during their grief. For all who have lost their home, please give them shelter.
Bring the communities together and help them to work together to heal, rebuild and, ultimately, be a stronger, bonded community, working together to help each other. Let each person see Your light after the darkness of devastation. Let each person feel Your presence and know You are there to lift them up.
For everyone who feels hopeless, please renew their hope. For those who feel they cannot go on, give them Your strength. For all who feel lost, abandoned and alone, let them know You have not left them—that You are still there beside them.
Touch all their lives with abundance and touch their hearts with Your love. All this we pray in Jesus’s name. Amen.
If there is anyone reading this who has a specific prayer request, feel free to put the request in the comments.

Been there and cannot imagine so much destruction. Glad people stepping up and helping one another. GOD BLESS! Cousin was on the road when it hit so fast. Semi in front of him had to stop so fast because of down wires. To those who lost a loved one my prayers and hugs to you.
