It is Resurrection Day! Hallelujah! Christ is Risen! Today is the day God’s plan comes full circle for us. After life, suffering, crucifixion and death, Jesus Christ has risen.
Like the rest of Holy Week, this Easter Sunday will be very different for us. Because of “stay at home” orders, we will be celebrating this blessed day at home.
And a lot of us will not have any of our family with us. But you will not be alone. God is with you. He loves you and He will never leave you.
Don’t let our current circumstances keep you from celebrating this blessed day. Although you may want to be in Church, remember that the Church is in you.
Yes, I know we have a lot to be sad about. We’re stuck at home. We don’t have our family and friends to celebrate with. We can’t gather together inside Church and share the wonderful Easter message.
But, we have something very wonderful to be happy about! Jesus is risen! He lives and because He lives, we need not fear tomorrow. We need not fear anything.
Just as His death was not fake, neither was His resurrection. He really rose into Heaven:
The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come see the place where he lay”. ~Matthew 28:5-6.
The Chief Priests and the Pharisees had mocked Him. They had tortured, beaten and crucified Him. He had been laid in a tomb, a big rock rolled over the tomb and guards had been standing watch.
But, still He rose. And He went to prepare a place us. And He will come again.
I’m sending you this Easter Sunday hug to bring joy to your heart on this Easter Sunday! It’s to let you know that you are loved and cared for. Never forget that. God loves you and will never leave you.
