I live a very blessed life. I have the love and support of a wonderful family. My mother and daddy are still with us and that’s a wonderful blessing. My sisters, although they don’t live close, are in good health and blessed. My extended family–nieces, nephews and their children–are all doing well and we hope to see some of them at Christmas.
I am also blessed to be able to do what I love all day long-grow The Horse Mafia® Company. God has truly blessed us as a Company this past year. I thank God every single day that I get to do what I love and I love what I do. The growth of The Horse Mafia® Company is fodder for a different post.
And, of course, I am blessed with my horses. If you’ve been following us for a while on Facebook, you’ve heard me talk about my horses over and over again. I hope you can hear from my voice and my words that they mean the world to me and to my husband. We have built our lives and this Company around them and we couldn’t feel more blessed.
I am also counting those blessings that I sometimes may take for granted.
I’m counting my blessings this Christmas. I woke up. I have a warm home. I have running water. I have food to eat. I have clothes to wear. Life is good. I am blessed. I am thankful. ~Unknown
Yesterday, my husband and I shopped for a while to pick up the few last things we still needed for gifts. We thought it would be very crowded and not a fun time, but we were pleasantly surprised. It was very nice to see all the Christmas lights and all the people rushing to and fro to get that one special gift.
So, this morning when I woke up, my first thought was, “Oh I hope I remembered everything”. But then I had another thought: “You’re so blessed. You’re blessed with everyone and everything you have in your life and you were blessed to be able to buy the gifts you bought.”
I never want to take any one blessing for granted. I don’t have them because of luck or coincidence. I have them because God has given them to me.
Don’t forget to count your blessings while you are counting down the days until Christmas!
Sending you blessings of gratitude and Christmas Peace, Joy & Love from Sterrett, Alabama!

Enjoy life while you are young and still have your health. My entire lifetime has involved horses, dogs and other animals. Five years ago my health started failing, and May 13, 2015 I moved from my little farm. At that time I was raising Quarter Horses, and Rottweilers, and before I put my farm on the market, I found good homes for my horses and most of my dogs. (I still have 2.) Then I sold the farm. I have had a life that has been blessed, and now time for change. God has given me a sound mind, and made it possible for me to create the wonderful memories I enjoy so much. Merry Christmas. God bless.
