Being Happy

April 20, 2020 By Charity M. Richey-Bentley 19 Comments

Being happy doesn’t mean you have it all. It simply means you’re thankful for all you have. You may be thinking, ‘There’s not a lot to be happy about right now’.

You may feel that you are “stuck” at home, that you can’t be around your family and friends, that you have the worst cabin fever you’ve ever had…and on and on.

I’ve never had anything given to me. I’ve had to work for everything I have. Every little thing. And I am thankful for it all. I am thankful for everyone and everything I have in my life.

We all go through hard times. We all have times when we want more out of life. We should always strive to achieve what we want out of life. We all should have dreams and work hard to make them happen.

But don’t forget to be thankful for what you have. Right now. Because, more likely than not, you have a lot to be thankful for.

I received an email from one of our followers. It was basically a praise email with a little twist. Four weeks ago, her husband had tested positive for the Coronavirus.

But she said that she made a conscious decision to not write me about his illness. Instead, she wrote to me and asked me for prayer for her husband. In her email, she asked for physical healing for a loved one.

I remembered the email because I had stopped right then to pray for her loved one. So, this second email was to tell me that he had tested positive for the virus and to let me know that he was now completely healed.

She said that even though she had been so scared, she had chosen to ask for prayer from everyone she could think of and she immediately started praising and thanking God for his healing.

She said that even though she had a lot to be unhappy about, she chose to be happy to have people who could pray for him. They self-quarantined and he has now tested negative.

I pray to be like her. Even in her darkest hour, she was thankful for prayer.

Blessings of love and gratitude from Sterrett, Alabama!

I can truly say God is a good God. I have had cancer four times and been near death but God has been right there with me. I can trust Him no matter the situation. God is with me. I am truly thankful. I am. Closed in but am still alive and happy. Count all your blessings. You will be surprised at all God does for you. I love Him so much.

Our Sweet LORD has held my hand for almost 80 years now. I know how much He love’s each and everyone of us.We have been given time now to really know our hearts and souls. After this tribulation of this virus we will see and live in a very different world. We must pray that we trust OUR LORD even more then we did. Love one another, and care for each other in what ever manner that we can. These are very dark times, but trust in Jesus as I do. Remember He is our light at the end of the tunnel we are in now. God Bless each and everyone in Jesus Christ.

Wow this is amazing God has blessed us all placing us where we need to be to help one another when each person needs that answer they prayed for. Thank you Lord for helping me be the answer to someone else’s prayer.

That is so very true , helping others is what it’s all about . Being a servant of God and in doing so giving all glory to Him. Jesus taught us to love as he did so love us, even when we were still sinners ; repent and sin no more , His love endureth forever . Abiding his His love and doing His will for us in our lives amen.
