FRIDAY BLESSINGS!

Good Morning to YOU! Fridays just “feel” better than other days, don’t they?  Especially when football season starts and everyone is anticipating their weekend games.  There’s just a happy feeling in the air.
I apologize that it has been so long since my last blog.  I have been extremely busy here at The Horse Mafiaᵀᴹ and Crowned Mareᵀᴹ.  I guess that’s good because we are truly, truly BLESSED.  My heart is full of gratitude for all my blessings.

I am also thankful that YOU are blessed.  I want you to have all that you dream for…all that you hope for and all that you work for.  A blessed life isn’t only about personal blessings.  A blessed life is about blessing others…even when you aren’t feeling very blessed yourself.  You may have seen the quote:

“Your greatest test is when
you are able to bless others
as you are going through
your own storm.”


I truly believe this.  It’s easier to bless others when everything is peachy for yourself.  When you feel good, when you are accomplishing, when you are reaching your goals.  It’s a whole lot harder to do when you aren’t doing so well.  It’s hard to stop and help someone else when you haven’t done so well on your job or you’ve faced setback after setback.  Although it is harder to do during your struggles, this is when your biggest blessings come in.   So, go out and BLESS SOMEONE on this beautiful FRIDAY!

My husband and I attended a horse show this past weekend and I wanted to share a couple of photos from the show.   We were so blessed to be able to spend time around horse lovers and to see so many beautiful horses and very skilled riders.


I was mesmerized by this horse.  She was absolutely beautiful and seemed to glide on the track.  I was also in love with the saddle.  LOL! It was no surprise that she won.

Do you enjoy coming up with unique names?  I am having a terrible time determining the new colt’s name (Lena’s baby).  If any of you have any ideas, please put them in the comment section.  I have Lena’s papers, but I don’t have his daddy’s so I don’t know lineage names on the daddy’s side.  I posted a photo of Lena’s papers in a previous blog.

Right now, I am calling him Lena’s boy.  I know, I know, I have to give him a name.  But every name I come up with, I discard for some reason.  They just don’t seem to fit him.  He has such a personality. He’ll act like he isn’t going to let you pet him, but as soon as you turn away, he sneaks up behind you and gives you a soft, little nudge.  He is precious.  I count him as one of my blessings every day.  
Lena is coming along well.  I believe she is starting to look a little bit healthier. I have both her and him on special feed.  I never tire of being around them.  I can stare at “the boy” all day.  🙂
