Keep Tom Selleck In Your Prayers

September 1, 2018 By Charity M. Richey-Bentley 105 Comments

Thomas William Selleck is known for starring as private investigator Thomas Magnum in the television series Magnum P.I. (1980-1988) and Peter Mitchell in Three Men and a Baby and Three Men and a Little Lady. Before that, he had a recurring role as Lance White, the likable and naive partner of Jim Rockford (played by James Garner) on The Rockford Files.  He plays Police Chief Jesse Stone in a series made-for-TV based on Robert B. Parker novels.  Since 2010, he has been a primary cast member as NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan in the crime drama Blue Bloods.

Tom Selleck has savored great success over several decades, but the actor has battled the pain of arthritis for many years.

Reports from friends and colleagues of Tom Selleck say that the former action star is tortured daily while on set.

Tom’s days as the car-jumping-scuba-diving-action star are a thing of the past. ~Costar.

Tom has been seen by doctors and he’s learned techniques to lessen the pain, but it’s a disease that isn’t going away.  In a recent interview, he said, “I’m learning to adjust to it as best I can.”

The pain is sometimes so bad, Tom can’t do his own stunts forcing a double to step in.   Sometimes, the stunt is used for even simple scenes such as getting in and out of the police car.  The star also sometimes has to film scenes sitting down.

Tom is an old-school professional and reports say that he never complains about the pain.  He often jokes that he’s not ‘Magnum PI’ anymore.

Now, some in Tom’s family fear that the treatment that the actor is taking for arthritis will cause him to go blind.

Keep him in your prayers.

Sending you blessings of love and gratitude from Sterrett, Alabama!

According to Matthew 18:18&19 I agree with you in prayer, because there is No time. Or distance in the Spirit Realm.

Also to Tom, look into Dr. Rife and frequencies. It works!

Thomas William Selleck, my thoughts and payers are with you. I do understand the pain that your going through. I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue plus I also am an amputee but still fighting the good fight daily. What keeps me going is number one my faith in God, two my children and grandchildren plus my friends. I however do love the movies and tv series Magnum P.I. (1980-1988) and Peter Mitchell in Three Men and a Baby and Three Men and a Little Lady. Also Jim Rockford (played by James Garner) on The Rockford Files but thee best I really think you helped the most was NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan in the crime drama Blue Bloods. Why, is because it was related to family, community, and loyalty, trust plus one faith. All this together you touch and shaped one like me watching you. However, there comes a time where you need to take of you and your family and something God has to find a way to slow us down and rethink what’s your first priority and other after that are. God is not done with you yet, so listen to him and he will show you. Thank you for being a good and great actor now it’s your time to rest and get strong in the Lord and you family. God Bless you and may he give you favor thoughtout this year.

Dear Tom, I feel your pain! I too am suffering from very painful arthritis, in my knees hips, lower back, left shoulder, right ankle. But like you I’m not ready to give up. I pray daily to our Awesome God Our Father to help me deal with this pain. I only have to think of the tremendous pain Our Lord Jesus Christ went through for our sins and I’m relieved of the pain in my own body. I will be praying for you Mr. Selleck and will light a candle for you tonight. My Dear Mother suffered from that terrible painful Arthritis and She always seemed to feel better after her nitely prayers and lighting her candle at her altar at home. I’m a avid watcher of weekly “Blue Bloods” and watch even the reruns in which I often haven’t seen and find that very enjoyable. Keep up your wonderful spirit and you help us and keep us entertained and help us forget our woes Thank You and God’s Blessings to you and your Family!!! 💝😇 Alice

North Texas, East Texas… plenty of open prairie, blue bonnets as far as the eye can see. The humidity might be good for your arthritis! Just sayin! Wish you the best, 💕❤

    Dear TOM,
As a 65 year old amputee with severe nerve pain and arthritis I know how you feel. Tired of all the pills that didn’t work well changed my treatments to all natural CBD oil in high doses along with the CBD pain cream. I am 6 weeks into this all natural treatment and believe it or not my nerve pain and arthritis in my hands and hips has reduced by 75%. I still have bad days but not as many as I did before. I have watched every series, movie and blue bloods is my favorite, I hope you can continue. My prayers and love are with you and your family.
    Sincerely,
    Jeanie anderson

I have been and always will be a die hard fan of Mr. Tom Selleck’s…I had recently noticed in scenes on Blue Bloods when Tom would walk, that he was walking rather rigidly, not seeming to bend his knees. It bothered me this time enough to google any information regarding his legs. And then I found this information. I will be praying for you Mr. Selleck. With all of the advances in medicine and treatments of different illnesses, I am hoping that there is one out there especially for you and anyone else suffering daily excruciating pain. Love ya, Tom! Love everything you have ever been in. You are a very humble person. I have seen you on talk shows in the past and you seem like an absolutely wonderful person.

    Dear Tom,
It is awful to live with pain… please try a pain clinic where an injection under X-ray guidance is given to the affected area.. it may be a miracle solution for you

You know I knew something was wrong, buy just watching him walk in Blue Bloods, I am so so sorry Tom Selleck, I love watching all of your shows, Maybe like you say your not Magnum P I anymore, maybe all the jumping and running from the Dobermans partly caused it, Lol, I think one of my favorites movies is Quigley I still watch it over and over when I see it coming on, hang in there, it is a pain to get older Love you always Laurie Wood Cowley, San Angelo Texas

Like so many others, I am deeply sadden to hear of Mr Selleck’s painful ordeal & the treatment that threatens his sight. I immediately prayed & petitioned Father God for to heal him. I’m encouraged by these posts from other sufferers who recommend CBD oil & cream. I don’t struggle w/ arthritis but have had cancer twice & lost several body parts. The most damaging to my system were the meds! I no longer blindly trust my drs advice & I look for alternatives.
If Mr Selleck is open to miraculous healing via authentic & vetted servants of God, who are sought after internationally for their gifts of healing & who minister discreetly to celebrities, presidents, etc., I hope he’ll consider contacting Bill Johnson, Sr Pastor of Bethel Church in Redding CA (or Chris Gore, their director over Healing Ministry); or Shawn Bolz, formerly of Expressions 58 church in Pasadena (?), who has many Hollywood connections. All are gracious, humble men who operate in the gifts of the Spirit (1 Cor 12).
“Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”

    Warm regards,
    Theresa

Tom I truly believe in some doctors and I truly believe in some medicine but I really believe in miracles and I really believe in God Almighty! I pray to a very powerful Saint Padre Pio he has never failed me with my prayers. I will hold a rosary close to my heart at night and ask him to please help you.

Surely you are aware of the medicinal properties of marijuana. With the absence of thc, it will help with the pain and not make you feel loopy. My Lord, why would you take a treatment that would cause blindness ( if what I’m reading is true)? You’ve been around long enough to know what’s what. Be blessed. 🤗

    Mr. Selleck,
I can’t say that I have watched a lot of your shows but I have enjoyed those that I have seen. You have always as an honest and moral man . I’m sure you are trusted by all in your mortgage commercials and that is saying a lot ! It’s obvious through this blog that you are loved by millions, with that love and the grace of God I pray that find comfort .
I sure wish and hope the best for you

My daughter teases me about my long time devotion to all
the things we’ve been gifted to enjoy from Tom Sellect. I recommend reading Sugar Blues possibly to help eliminate the severe pain. The logic is sound. Best wishes!
