A Prayer For The Sick Or Hurting

If you’ve been following The Horse Mafia for a while, you know that on each Sunday, I put up a “Prayer For The Coming Week”.  I have done it almost since the very beginning of the page.  It may be a poster or it may be in video format like the prayer for today.

Most Sunday mornings I get emails very quickly after I have posted a prayer.  Most of them are asking me to pray for specific individuals or specific situations.  I always love getting these and I always immediately pray for the individuals/situations mentioned.

This morning, four of the emails were asking me to pray about loved ones who are either going through a terrible illness, addiction and/or depression.

I had already done a blog for this morning, but I just felt led to put up this prayer.  So I scratched  the one I already had done and did this one.  I know someone out there needs it.

Dear Lord,
Today, I pray a prayer for everyone who is sick or hurting.  Whether their pain be physical, mental, emotional or spiritual, I ask that You touch them. Comfort them and give them Your Peace and Blessed Assurance.  I also pray for the families and friends of those who are sick.  Give them Your strength to face each day and Your peace during their time of grief and mourning.
In Jesus’ name, I pray.  Amen.
