Thankful Thursday Hugs

Happy Thankful Thursday, My Friends! I am sending Thankful Thursday hugs your way. And I’m hoping you woke up with a thankful heart.

So, this hug I’m sending you is to say, “No matter how good or not-so-good your life may be, there are many more who would look at your life and wish it for themselves. Look around you and really see all the blessings you have.”

Did you wake up the day after Christmas and you’re healthy? That’s a big blessing. Is there at least one person in your life who wants the best for you? Blessing. Do you have food to eat and clothes to wear? Blessings.

When you start feeling sorry for yourself or when you think you should have so much more than you do, stop and look around you. Because no matter how bad you have it, there are millions of other people who have it so much worse. Much, much worse. There are some people who couldn’t get out of bed this morning because they are dealing with a sickness.

There are others who didn’t make it through the night. And there’re more who won’t make it through the day.

But we made it through the night. And we woke up healthy and happy. That means we are so blessed. And  I am so thankful.

Thankfulness is a way of life. It’s about seeing everyone and everything around you and recognizing them as blessings in your life. It’s about waking up and being thankful for just waking up.

When you have a thankful heart, it shows. I love it when I ask someone how they are doing and they respond, “I am blessed.”  It makes me want to say it back and I always do.

And I, for one, am thankful for this day. And I am sending you this hug to say, “I am thankful for you.”
