Thankful Thursday Hugs

God has given us another Thankful Thursday! Good Morning, Friends! I’m sending out Happy Thankful Thursday HUGS. No matter what happens today, remember that this big, caring hug is here waiting for you when you need it. This Thankful Thursday, remember that it is God from whom all blessings flow.

We have so much to be thankful for. But sometimes the worry, stress and busyness make our heart feel defeated instead of us having a heart of thanks. Because of life’s daily pressures and worries, we sometimes forget to pause for just a moment and give thanks.

And sometimes, it isn’t forgetfulness that we don’t give thanks. Sometimes we just don’t feel like it. We may be angry. We may be tired or we may feel that God has let us down or that He doesn’t see our struggles–that He doesn’t realize what we are going through. We feel like He has left us because there’s no way He would allow the things that you are going through to really happen, right?

God has not left you and we all have a choice to be thankful. We can choose to give Him thanks. We can make that choice every single day. And when we start making the choice to be thankful–no matter what we are going through–something wonderful happens. God starts changing our hearts. And as our hearts are changed, so is our situation.

When our hearts are changed, our struggles, our worries, and our heartbreaks lose their power over our hearts. Our hearts are open to His peace and joy. And that is a wonderful thing, my friend.

When your heart is thankful, you will receive more blessings and more reasons to be thankful for. God loves it when we are thankful.

In everything give thanks, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. ~1 Thessalonians 5:18
