Wednesday Hugs-August 26, 2020

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday! We’ve reached the middle of the week, my friends! It’s our fourth Wednesday of August 2020 and we are blessed because we woke up to see this new day.

I get a lot of emails telling me that Friday hugs are their favorite, but Wednesday hugs are their next favorite. I may agree with that, but right now, Wednesday hugs are definitely my favorite.

A mid-week hug is always welcome. It helps you to let go of any stress that you’ve had in the beginning of the week and it renews your peace and helps you prepare for the rest of the week.

I wanted to pray a short, simple prayer and send it with your hug. Please pray this prayer with me and receive the blessings I am sending with it.

Dear God, It’s another beautiful day, Lord. Whether we have sunshine or rain, it is beautiful because You woke us up to see this beautiful, fourth Wednesday of August 2020.

Not only did we wake up, Lord. But we are healthy. Our families are healthy. We have a family who loves us and food on our table. And we are blessed with so many more things.

Lord, we thank You for bringing a complete end to this health crisis. We know that You are in control and You can heal us.

Heal everyone who is sick and suffering and restore good, complete health to their bodies. Remove our pains and replace worry with Your peace and calm.

Thank You for making a way for us. Thank You for restoring jobs, opening doors of opportunity, bringing happiness to our homes, to our parents’ homes and to the homes of our children.

Lord, heal our Cities and replace division with unity and love. May we treat everyone with Your kindness and compassion. We want everyone to see You in our lives, Lord.

Lord, we cannot make it without You. You give us strength to keep going. You give us hope for our futures. Renew our faith and trust in You, Lord.

Lord, we need You more than ever. We need You in every part of our lives. We need You at home, in our workplaces, in our public spaces, in our schools and everywhere else.

We thank You for never leaving us. For always helping us, for always leading and guiding us, and for always forgiving me. We thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, so that our sins are forgiven and we may live eternally.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
