We’re here again, my friends! Good Morning and Happy Friday! It’s our second Friday of August 2024 and it is going to be a wonderful, blessed day. Let’s decide right now that it is going to be great.
Remember, you get to decide whether your day is going to be good or not-so-good. Only you are in charge of you. You can choose to be positive, you can choose to keep smiling and you can choose to be happy. Together, let’s choose to be happy.
Let’s slow down for a second. Take a deep breath. Use this hug to place a smile on your face and peace in your heart. Let it bring you calm and wrap you in a determination to keep smiling.
I believe God is hearing our prayers. He hears us when we can only shed tears because He knows our hearts. And He hears us when we speak words of pain, words of hope and when we tell Him what we need.
I wanted to pray a short prayer for your day. Please pray this prayer with me and believe that everything we pray is heard by God and He is working things out for us.
Dear God, This day is a gift from You. You placed the sun in the sky that rose to begin our day. We are so thankful that You woke us up. Please be with us today and through this weekend.
Teach us to wait on You, Lord. Help us to remember that Your plans are better than any plans we can come up with for ourselves.
We know that You want us to prosper, You want us to be safe and feel protected and You want us to be happy and healthy. We thank You, Lord, for always meeting our needs.
Heal our bodies, our minds, our emotions and our spirit. Give us good and fitful sleep each evening and give us energy to go through our days.
Remove worry, anxiety and chaos from our lives. We cannot focus on You if we do not have peace in our hearts. Guide our feet away from trouble, harm and chaos.
Reach down with Your healing hands and heal our bodies. Remove cancer, diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, arthritis, hypertension, lupus, addiction and all other illnesses we are struggling with.
Remove our racing thoughts, our negative thinking and help us not to compare ourselves to others.
Be with us all today and this weekend and strengthen our faith in You. Renew our hope and recharge our soul.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Even though I am not with you physically, I pray that you feel this hug and the blessings sent with it. This hug is caring and meant especially for you. Friday Hugs!
Sending you blessings of love and gratitude from Sterrett, Alabama!
