This weekend promises to have an Autumn feel to it. It isn’t cool here yet, but you can just feel a slight change in the air.
God brought us through the week and woke us up to see this beautiful weekend. Let’s praise and thank Him for all His goodness today.
I’m sending Saturday hugs your way. This hug is to say that God loves you, cares for you, protects you, wants to see you blessed, and wants to see you happy.
And I am sending a little prayer with your hug. Please pray this prayer with me. And when you pray, believe that God hears our prayers and He is still on the throne.
Dear God, We thank You for waking us up today, for letting us see this new day and this new weekend. We want to keep You in the center of our lives.
We are all praying for a touch from You, Lord. Reach down and touch every single person who is praying this prayer.
As it is the weekend before 9-11, we are especially praying for all the families who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001. Please hold them close to You and meet all their needs.
Reach down and touch us with Your healing hands. Remove cancer, diabetes, heart disease, liver disease, kidney disease, lung disease, arthritis, hypertension, lupus, addiction and all other illnesses we are suffering with.
And we ask You to remove our racing thoughts, remove our feeling of never being enough, and our need to compare ourselves with others.
We claim and receive the blessings You are sending for our weekend, Lord. We accept Your blessings of happiness, peace, joy and renewed energy.
Lord, please send Your angels to guard and protect us. Place Your shields around us and push back anyone or anything that would do us harm.
We know, Lord, that it is important for us to feel peace and calm in our hearts, our homes, and all spaces in which we spend our time. We cannot focus on You if we live a chaotic life.
Guide our feet away from drama and chaos. Keep us centered and focused on You, Lord.
Remove the wrong people out of our path and place the right people in our path.
Let only positive people and energy enter our homes. Remove all negativity from our spaces and dispel drama before it finds us. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
