It’s Wednesday and the first day of April! Good Morning and Happy Wednesday! I am sending Wednesday hugs your way. I pray you can receive one.
I pray you are safe today. Safe from exposure to the Coronavirus and any other dangers. I pray you are happy and not letting the virus steal your joy.
Today is a gift from God. This day will never come again. Once it’s over, this day cannot be re-done. It’s another twenty-four hours in your past.
If you are worried and scared right now, remember that this, too, shall pass. When we get on the other side of this virus, we will be happy we took every possible precaution we could take.
We’ll be glad we listened to our Public Health officials and our leaders. And we’ll be glad we stayed home to protect ourselves and others.
I heard reports yesterday that the next two weeks will be worse for us. That is scary to hear and it is even scarier to accept. Just keep doing what is recommended.
Wash your hands. Don’t touch your face. Stay away from crowds. Social distance and get enough rest. We can get through this.
God knows what is going on. He isn’t deaf to your prayers. He isn’t blind to your tears. He knows you are worried. But He is in control. He knows what He is doing and He is going to bring us through these difficult times.
With this hug, I’m saying, “Be encouraged, be calm, be safe and stay in God’s peace. No matter what anyone else does or says, stay calm and be joyful in the Lord.”
I wanted to pray a short, simple prayer for encouragement. Pray this prayer with me and believe that God is going to give us His strength to make it out of these times.
Dear God, we know that You are still on the throne. We trust You and we believe that You will bring us out of these difficult times.
We know that You already know that the next two weeks hold for us. And we know You can change things in the blink of an eye.
Help us to stay focused on You and believe that You are with us, even during our hardest, darkest, most painful and most confusing times.
Take away our fears and renew our faith. Remove our racing thoughts and calm our minds. Remove the sadness from our hearts and replace it with Your joy.
Heal those who are infected, keep others from being infected and remove this virus from our lands, remove it from this world.
Remind us that better days are ahead. Remind us that You are with us. Help us to always trust in You and rely upon Your power to bring us out of the darkness into the light.
In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Today is going to be a good day for you. Believe it. God is going to bless you in ways you’ve never even thought about.
If you get to a place today where you need a hug, imagine this big, caring hug that I am sending you! Wednesday Hugs!
Sending you love, blessings and gratitude from Sterrett, Alabama!
